Our Nourished programs are backed by the very latest scientific evidence that shows you how to make informed lifestyle choices. You’ll learn to eat wisely, move more, sleep deeply, stress less, love lots and live well. We highlight the emerging science about the role of your microbes; why they matter and how you can best nurture them so they in turn can nurture you. We arm you with all the tools you need to make sustainable changes to your lifestyle, with a focus on the small things that make the biggest difference.

  • 8 Week Course

    The Nourished 8 week program provides a deep dive into eight key aspects of health and lifestyle, one each week: diet; movement; sleep; emotional health, mental health, social health; and connection with nature. Take a some time to put your health first an focus on what is most important.

  • 1 Day Intensive

    The One Day Intensive provides an overview of four key aspects of health and lifestyle; diet, movement, mental health, and emotional health. It incorporates many practical steps you can take to create positive health habits, all backed by the most recent behaviour change research. The focus is on the small steps that make the biggest difference.

Meet Your Teachers

Jenny Blagdon has spent over 40 years teaching people about health and wellbeing, at both an individual and community level. She is a certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

Wayne Speirs is a passionate plant based cook and foodie. Growing all his own organic food, this Green Thumb loves to experiment with new recipes and is always keen to share what he knows.

1 Day Intensive Workshop

The One Day Intensive provides an overview of four key aspects of health and lifestyle; diet, movement, mental health, and emotional health. It incorporates many practical steps you can take to create positive health habits, all backed by the most recent behaviour change research. The focus is on the small steps that make the biggest difference. 

  • Eat Wisely – overviewing the latest science about your microbiome, particularly your gut microbes, and why it’s important to eat a diverse range of plants to enrich them.

  • Move More - exploring how to get more movement into your life, why it's so good for you and your microbes. 

  • Think Clearly - an in depth look at your brain health, particularly as you age, including the role of the gut brain axis and your microbes.

  • Stress Less - overviewing the latest science around emotional wellbeing, with a focus on stress; its impact on your microbes, and what you can do to reduce its impact. 

Each workshop also includes plenty of science backed tips that help make it easier to make changes to your lifestyle, with a focus on the small things that make the biggest difference.

There’s a cooking demonstration, to help you feel more confident in preparing plant-based meals, along with a delicious plant-based morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for further inspiration.

  • Week 1 Eat Wisely – overviewing the latest science about your microbiome, particularly your gut microbes, and why it’s important to eat a diverse range of plants to enrich them.

  • Week 2 Eat Wisely continued – the importance of being health aware in your food choices, to support your own health and that of your microbes.

  • Week 3 Move More - exploring how to get more movement into your life, why it's so good for you and your microbes. 

  • Week 4 Think Clearly - an in depth look at your brain health, particularly as you age, including the role of the gut brain axis and your microbes.

  • Week 5 Sleep Deeply - developing an understanding of your circadian rhythm, why sleep is so important for you and your microbes, what's making sleep so challenging for many of us, and what you can do to improve your sleep. Includes a summary of the latest research on fasting and the microbiome.

  • Week 6 Stress Less - overviewing the latest science around emotional wellbeing, with a focus on stress; its impact on your microbes, and what you can do to reduce its impact. 

  • Week 7 Love Lots - examining the emerging science around social health and its link to your microbes, including sharing some of the insights from the Blue Zones, highlighting compassion and the practice of self-compassion.

  • Week 8 Renature and Live Well - exploring the fascinating science around how nature benefits your health and wellbeing, particularly your microbes. Reviewing what you’ve learned and considering how you might sustain any changes you've been making.
